Analyzing and Transforming Conflict to Create Sustainable Solutions
for People and Wildlife

Dates: March 12-16, 2012

Location of Training

The training will take place in facilities on the Ol Pejeta Conservancy—a 90,000-acre private wildlife conservancy—situated on the equator, in Kenya’s Laikipia District, between the foot hills of the Aberdares and the magnificent snow-capped Mount Kenya. The Ol Pejeta Conservancy boasts an astounding variety of animals, including the “Big Five” (the endangered black and white rhino , leopard, elephant, buffalo and lion), Grevy’s zebra, Jackson’s hartebeest, cheetah and chimpanzee. The combination of amazing wildlife and stunning views across the open plains of Ol Pejeta guarantees an unforgettable experience...and that's even before the training begins!

Training Fee

The cost of the five-day training is $1250 USD. Full room and board for the week and transportation to/from the local airport is offered at a special HWCC rate of $375 USD and is to be paid to HWCC as part of registration. Therefore, the total registration cost is $1625.
